Xica

Synopsis:
Series set in 18th century Brazil and based on the true story of Xica Da Silva. Xica is taken away from her mother as a young girl and forced to become a slave to a charismatic government official. An illicit, interracial romance develops between the slave and master. Xica uses her beauty and feminine wiles to win her freedom and herself become an important participant in Brazilian politics. Eventually, she became a legend to Brazil's slave population.
