Zoe Busiek gives up her life in Vegas as a blackjack dealer to care for her nieces and nephew when her sister dies in an accident. Her investigation into her sister's death begins her career as a fraud investigator. Also over the course of her beginning as a "mother" she has to make the children feel better about what happened and keep the eldest out of trouble when she sneaks off to a frat party.
