Synopsis:
Veronica officially becomes a private investigator after passing the PI exam. Her first big case involves finding out whether or not an African student at Hearst whose memoir recounting his time in Uganda's rebel army is the son of a man who moved from there prior to the war. Meanwhile, Piz contemplates two internship offers: one that would take him to New York and another that would keep him close to Veronica in Neptune; Mac has issues with Max's indifference to flunking out of school; Parker frets when Logan tells her he's planning to spend the summer in South America surfing with Dick; Richard Casablancas returns and tries to bond with Dick for the few months he has left before he turns himself; Keith tries to figure out who's responsible for a crime wave on the eve of the special election, and finds that Vinnie Van Lowe might be colluding with the Fitzpatrick's to create this crime wave in order to oust Keith; and, Veronica wins the FBI Summer Internship.
