This animated series depicts the ups and downs of the Simpsons, a strangely typical American family living in Springfield. Homer works at the local nuclear power plant; Marge is a loving, nurturing, blue-haired wife and mother; smart-mouthed Bart is relentlessly entertaining and annoying; Lisa is an intelligent, precocious, jazz saxophonist who is wise beyond her years; and toddler Maggie manages to communicate with the family via various pacifier sucks.
