The Magnificent Ambersons

Synopsis:
A stubborn man loses his family fortune and social prominence when he is unwilling to embrace the social and economic changes taking place in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, brought on in part by the introduction of the automobile into everyday life. The story follows three generations of Ambersons who arrogantly believe their social prominence will last forever, notwithstanding the immense social changes that are occurring all around them.
