Dr. Hugo Archibald has brought home another one of his exotic pets -- Jennie, an orphaned chimpanzee from Africa. The family, especially son Andrew, welcomes Jennie as part of the family. Jennie plays baseball, loves comic books and is a confidante to Andrew, who doesn't always see eye to eye with his dad. Together, Jennie and Andrew embark upon a magical adventure, ultimately strengthening the family's bonds.
