Hugh Hefner and girlfriend Holly Madison are officially dunzo -- news that is almost as shocking as Clay Aiken confirming he is gay. Who didn't see this coming?
Unfortunately, it's bad timing for their reality show, The Girls Next Door, which just started its fifth season on E! The show would have you believe that Hef and his trio of much younger girlfriends -- Holly, Bridget and Kendra -- are one big happy family. Then again, did anyone ever really buy into that fantasy? Not so much.
Hef told E! News that Holly was the love of his life. But apparently, his inability to father children came between them. That, and about 50 years, give or take. Just saying.
Holly, 28, has been seen gallivanting around Las Vegas with magician Criss Angel. Meanwhile, the youngest of the girlfriends, Kendra Wilkinson, is moving out of the Playboy Mansion.
Not to worry: E! reports that 82-year-old Hef has been spotted with 19-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon. Perhaps they'll be starring in The Girls Next Door, season six.
