Synopsis:
Rudy wants to keep a dog that she and Peter found. Cliff allows them to look after the dog until they find the owner. Rudy is sad when the owner shows up but does not want a pet of her own because it is too much work. Cliff is overwhelmed with watching the kids while Clair is out of town. Vanessa is upset that she has to go with the family to Washington, D.C. to see Clair give a speech because of a big party being thrown that weekend that she can't go to.
