Synopsis:
A death-row inmate's appeal case is coming up, and his star witness is murdered. Brenda and the team find more than one suspect who had motive to kill him. Meanwhile, Chief Pope's angry ex-wife visits Brenda and the team, and tells them Brenda's secret. Fritz, hearing about it, worries about Brenda's feelings for Chief Pope.
