Synopsis:
New York City was undergoing a transformative change in 1977. There was a hunt for the "Son of Sam" serial killer; a citywide blackout which led to arson and looting; the disco craze and the opening of Studio 54; the rise of the downtown punk scene; the mayoral competition including former mayors Abe Beame, and his successor, Ed Koch; and the Yankees' first World Series victory in 15 years, beating the LA Dodgers that year.
