Ranking The Women Of The Bachelorette

How does Jillian stack up against former Bachelorettes Trista and DeAnna?

There's a long line of Bachelor rejects we would have liked to see as The Bachelorette. Melissa Rycroft, for starters. But she moved on to bigger and better things. Tina Fabulous, anyone? The former Mrs. Firestone-wannabe could throw a perfect spiral while rocking stiletto heels. And how about crazy "golddigger" Trish, who refused to take no for an answer, from Jesse Palmer's season? OK, maybe not.

With Jillian's season of The Bachelorette starting to wind down, there's no better time to see how our first Canadian Bachelorette stacks up against her predecessors. Can she fill Trista's (pink) shoes and make it down the aisle? We'll see:

Brad Womack5. Meredith Phillips: Down-to-earth Meredith was a likeable reject from Bachelor Bob's season, but simply being a nice girl doesn't translate to a compelling season of The Bachelorette. The West Coast-based makeup artist and sometime model was too laid-back and low-maintenance to provide much drama. She eventually chose the strong-and-silent Ian McKee as her fiance, but even though he left his job in New York to move in with her in California, the couple broke up before making it to the altar.

Jason Mesnick4. Jillian Harris: Bachelor host Chris Harrison says Jillian reminds him of former Bachelorette Trista Rehn, but so far Jillian's proving to be more like Meredith -- which is to say, unmemorable. While we like Jillian for being a spunky, quirky Canadian gal, she's just not that believeable as the object of 25 -- make that 30! -- guys' affection. Which is probably why this season of The Bachelorette is populated by a bunch of jerks who seem more interested in fame than Jillian (*cough*Wes*cough*). Well, maybe nice guy Ed will come back to save the day.

Prince Lorenzo3. Jen Schefft: Jen stole our hearts on The Bachelor, but like Bob Guiney before her, she became less sympathetic once she was the one holding all the roses. Viewers cried foul when Jen rejected two proposals from her final suitors, sweet JP and swoon-worthy Jerry. In doing so, she also dashed the hopes of millions of viewers who had stuck with her for two seasons of the show. How many proposals does one girl need, anyway?

Alex Michel2. Trista Rehn: We can't forget Trista, the original Bachelorette, mostly because ABC won't let us. Every single season, The Bachelor trots out Trista and husband Ryan Sutter as its lone success story. See? You really can find true love on reality TV! Trista's season was pretty entertaining, since it was a refreshing change for the series, and America was rooting for her after she got dumped by that loser Alex Michel. Plus, the eventual Charlie vs. Ryan matchup created some actual dramatic tension. So we'll forgive Trista and her annoying baby voice for refusing to give up her 15 minutes.

Bob Guiney1. DeAnna Pappas: This vivacious Greek gal with the rapidly fluttering eyelashes gets credit for reviving a flagging franchise. DeAnna got dumped by Bachelor Brad Womack and was still heartbroken months later when the two met again while taping After The Final Rose. After getting rejected a second time on national TV, DeAnna accepted an offer from The Bachelorette, and proceeded to play 25 men like a game of lacrosse. She dumped fiance Jesse Csincsak and later made a cameo on Jason Mesnick's season of The Bachelor, and is currently seeking fame and love in Hollywood.
