Looks like the identity of ABC's new Bachelor has leaked -- and it's not pretty.
Us Weekly reports that Jillian Harris castoff Jake Pavelka will be handing out roses on The Bachelor come January. ABC won't make the official announcement until Oct. 13, but a contestant from the yet-to-be-taped show apparently spilled the beans to a local TV station in Tennessee.
Brittney Gammel, a Learjet pilot, says the show's 14th season begins taping in November, according to Us.
Pavelka, a pilot from Dallas, is arguably the finalist least favored by fans for The Bachelor spot. He gained a reputation as a smarmy tattletale during the last season of The Bachelorette after telling Jillian that one of the other suitors had a girlfriend back home. During the reunion show, he seemed to be openly vying for the position of next Bachelor.

Others rumored to be in the running for The Bachelor spot included Bachelorette first runner-up Kiptyn Reid and second runner-up (and fan favorite) Reid Rosenthal.
