Bachelor Jason Mesnick And Molly Malaney Talk To Ellen DeGeneres
The happy couple try to explain their actions on national television ... again.

For someone who repeatedly has said he wants to live his life with "no regrets," Bachelor Jason Mesnick has a few. For one: Dumping Melissa Rycroft on national television. (Ya think?) "I regretted it every single day since that happened, and I will regret probably every day for the rest of my life," he tells Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show airing Friday. "The producers obviously really wanted me to do it on the show, but I take full responsibility for my actions."
Looks like Mesnick had yet another change of heart -- earlier in the week, he was telling everyone that his ABC contract required him to break up with Rycroft on-air, a claim that was refuted by Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss on Wednesday. Mesnick famously proposed to Rycroft on the season finale of The Bachelor, then dumped her for runner-up Molly Malaney less than six weeks later. Rycroft appeared on Ellen's show Thursday and said she felt betrayed by both, but has moved on.
Meantime, Malaney said she was shocked by the outcome of the After The Final Rose show, in which Mesnick told her he wanted to pursue a relationship: "I looked at Chris at one point and said, 'Am I getting Punk'd right now, because this is not a funny joke.'" The couple says they are supporting each other in the midst of public criticism. "This should be the happiest time for us right now, but we're surrounded by so much negativity," Malaney said, adding: "I think if there's any time to be selfish, it's when love is involved."
