The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick is engaged. Mazel tov! He's already one up on the ABC's last Bachelor, Brad Womack, who dumped both girls rather than proposing in the season finale. ABC still came out smelling like a rose, though, by spinning off DeAnna Pappas' heartbreak into a successful outing of The Bachelorette.
But will Jason's son Ty really get a new mommy? Bachelor couples have a history of not making it down the aisle. They're actually 0 for 12 so far. (The Bachelorette's Trista Rehn is the franchise's only success story thus far -- she married Ryan Sutter and is pregnant again.)
Still, Bachelor host Chris Harrison remains ever hopeful, telling Us Magazine: "It's a fantastic season that has an incredible finish. There will be many tears shed as fans take this journey with us this season."
The Bachelor premieres its 13th season Jan. 5 on ABC. Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas -- who recently dumped fiance Jesse Csincsak -- will appear on Lifetime's Get Married as co-host that same day.
