I had a feeling Anthony and Stephanie were going to get the boot last night when, at the top of the show, I couldn't remember who the hell they were. Yah, not a good sign for enduring success on this show.

But let's revisit what went down before Tony and Steph's elimination, not the least of which was that the gang stayed in Brazil for another entire episode. And I have some guesses as to why this could be:

1. Brazil is huge, so why leave after visiting just one destination?

2. The producers wanted the players to get into their dim-witted brains that Spanish and Portuguese are NOT the same language.

3. They wanted to save a few bucks. Nothing wrong with that right?

Whatever the reason, players were told to fly to Fortaleza, Brazil (cab drivers were subjected to a myriad of pronounciations of this name, from "Forlateza to Fuertolaza"). At the airport, Tina single-handedly got the airline to switch to a larger aircraft to accommodate the players -- an act that would have been pretty sweet had she not told everyone to thank her for it later.

Upon arriving, they were treated to a dune buggie ride (resident sage/drama queen Terrence said the rain felt like "God showering us with love and joy") and then presented with a "Beach It or Dock It" challenge: Moving a traditional Brazlian sailing boat 100 feet across the sand using logs, or scouring a local shipyard for one of hundreds of container possessing a specific serial number.

The comic book guys were the only team to not select the boat task, wisely choosing to "play to their strengths" since the first leg of challenge involved a computer. And then they quoted Yoda: "Do or do not. There is not try." Nerds in paradise indeed!

The boys were first to arrive at the roadblock while the others continued to battle the boats on the beach. Roadblocks are only for one player, so the ginger-bearded Bill assumed the task: He had to find the name of their next destination written somewhere in paint on a large public wall littered with advertisements. Tina and Ken (who I've decided looks like Super Dave Osborne's long-lost brother) showed just as Bill was working his analytical magic (he wrote down everything and simply read each one to their clue-giver, an adorable local painter) and suddenly the two teams were neck in neck.

Ken and Tina are in better shape (speaking of, someone needs to get this woman a supportive sports bra...yikes) so this netted them first place at the next pitstop and a renewed respect from me. Yah, these people are nuts, a terrible couple, but they worked it out!

Terrence and Sarah, Aja and Ty, and Toni and Dallas were teams 3, 4, 5 respectively while the others trickled in shortly thereafter. Anthony and Stephanie were last (he discovered Bill's writing-down-everything strategy a little too late) and faced their elimination with a propose dose of reflectiveness."I have a lot of things in my life to be thankful for," said Anthony."My health, my parents, you know, my looks and Stephanie."
