Jeff Probst should stick to his khakis and backwater locations.

Fresh off his Emmy win for best reality host -- a first-time category -- Probst needs to wash the Emmy hosting stench off him. It took years before Rob Lowe could stop apologizing for an Emmy dance number with Snow White. Suffice to say, this past Emmy debacle with five reality hosts taking the helm of the 60th anniversary of the Emmy Awards makes any previous flub pale in comparison.

In the new season of Survivor: Gabon airing at 8 p.m. Sept. 25 on CBS, once again Probst is back in his element. Probst may lack the emcee gene, but he's given us some of the best moments in reality show history on Survivor. So we'll try to burn that image of awkward Probst on the Emmy stage out of our brains and concentrate on all the good Survivor times.

10. Survivor: Borneo: Susan Hawk capped off a great first season of Survivor with her memorable "snakes vs. rats" speech in which she blasted the backstabbers at the final Tribal Council. The funny thing was, she had more knives in her pouch than anyone else.

9. Survivor: The Australian Outback: Mike Skupin killed a pig in a very Lord of the Flies moment, but the scariest part came when he fell into the fire. His burns were so severe, he had to leave the game.

8. Survivor: The Australian Outback: In the first what-were-you-thinking moment, Colby decides to take likable Tina into the final two instead of the less popular Keith, thus giving away a million dollars.

7. Survivor: All Stars: Jenna abruptly quits when she says she's having some bad feelings about her mom's health. Her mom died just eight days after Jenna left the island.

6. Survivor: All Stars: Boston Rob takes over the game like Tony Soprano, orchestrating a win that would come down to either him, or then-girlfriend Amber. He not only popped his girl into the winning position, the two were married and he got the money anyway.

5. Survivor: Pearl Islands: Proving that good guys can be rascals too, pirate Rupert stole the shoes of his fellow castaways and bartered them for additional supplies.

4. Survivor: Pearl Islands: Jonny Fairplay turns out to be one of the most deceitful people ever to play the game, and that's saying something. The ultimate was when he plotted with a friend to make the other castaways believe his beloved grandmother had died. In the words of Mark Twain, her death was greatly exaggerated.

3. Survivor: Fiji: Sweet Yau-Man makes a deal with teammate Dreamz to take the truck Yau-Man won in exchange for not voting Yau-Man out down the line. Dreamz sold Yau-Man out and still kept the truck.

2. Survivor: China: So, just how dumb or overly confident must you be to sit on not one, but two immunity idols and not play them at Tribal Council? Ask James, who watched as he was voted out while still holding the twins that could have saved him.

1. Survivor: Cook Islands: Boston Rob might have pioneered the art of manipulation, but the King of Manipulation is one of the smartest men ever to play the game: Yul Kwon. Yul was the main guy on a losing team, and came back to win it all. But not before he was able to maneuver Jonathan into turning on his own team by using his immunity idol as a method of blackmail.
