Synopsis:
An adventure series combining live-action and animation. The program is based on the video game characters, the Mario Brothers (Mario and Luigi), two apprentice plumbers from Brooklyn who live in a sub-basement apartment populated by strange creatures. The live-action portions occur at the beginning and end of each show. In between, the animated segments feature the antics of the Mario Bros. in the Land of the Mushroom People. One day a week, the animated serial features characters from "The Legend of Zelda," another video game.
