A lot of observers have been surprised to learn that Reaper has not only not been given a green light for a second season yet, but the CW is seriously considering getting not bringing it back. The show had a highly touted pilot, and while it lost momentum after that as new series often do, the interruption of the strike and the overall weakness of the network haven't been helpful either (its current lead-in, Beauty and the Geek, is yet another drawback).

Tonight (CW, 9 PM), Sam is bugged when Andi's old boyfriend Greg reappears and asks her out, and is really upset when she turns around and breaks up with Sam in the process. Figuring only one thing could give him this sort of influence, Sam looks into matters and finds that Greg sold his soul to the Devil in order to win Andi back. See Sam, you should have thought of that yourself. We'll know next week if Reaper survived its network namesake or not.

American Idol (Fox, 8 PM): Tonight, the final four perform songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs that have shaped the history of rock. Hopefully, nothing will get misshapen this evening.

Beauty and the Geek (CW, 8 PM): The beauties face a plumbing challenge; the geeks are tasked with giving makeovers to their unstylish female counterparts.

Dancing With the Stars (ABC, 8 PM and 9 PM): The night begins with a ratings-building special at 8:00, as the judges recount their favorite dances in the show's history. And that history reaches episode #100 in the second hour, as some of the more prominent DWTS alumni return for a major group performance and Rascal Flatts does their thing. As to who will go, my recent prediction record is lousy, but Marissa Jaret Winokur seems to be the most vulnerable.

NCIS (CBS, 8 PM): Ziva draws the attention of a serial killer she is tracking. It's known that someone in the main cast isn't going to survive this season, so maybe Cote de Pablo needs to update her resume.

Raw Nature (Animal Planet, 8 PM): A Brazilian tribal ceremony involves permitting giant ants to sting one's hand; snakes infest homes in India; rats are eaten by poor villagers. Ugh.

American Experience (PBS, 9 PM): Part two of the saga of George H.W. Bush, covering the first war with Saddam Hussein and Bush's subsequent failure to be re-elected.

Bud Greenspan: At the Heart of the Games (ESPN2, 9 PM): The filmmaker synonymous with the Olympics and many of his subjects discuss his long career capturing key moments from the Games, which are not always the events that make the history books.

Deadliest Catch (Discovery, 9 PM): The Time Bandit has an electrical issue; tempers grow short aboard a pair of ships; Phil, the captain of the Cornelia Marie, isn't feeling any better.

Hell's Kitchen (Fox, 9 PM): An annoying teenager wants a special 16th birthday party and the teams compete to design a menu, with the losing team having to assist in carrying out the party.

Last Restaurant Standing (BBC America, 9 PM): The two teams competing for the other spot in the final are judged based on how they perform in Raymond Blanc's own restaurant.

Mega Disasters (History, 9 PM): Could an incredible storm called a hypercane been behind the mass extinction of the dinosaurs?

Shark (CBS, 9 PM): Gambling in Vegas while he figures out what to do next, Sebastian, who still has his license to practice in Nevada, gets a lucrative assignment defending a former client, a casino owner accused of murdering one of his employees.

A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila (MTV, 10 PM): Tila holds a bi-athlon, and she's the first prize.

College Hill: Atlanta (BET, 10 PM): The housemates prepare for a trip to London, with the hope that intergroup tension doesn't ruin things; Drew prepares for a rap performance.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 10 PM): A pregnant woman is found burned to death, and attention is directed at her fiancé and his wealthy family. Stephen Collins guest stars.

Secret Lives of Women (WE, 10 PM): A look at four psychics, including one woman who communicates with animals and another who works on cold crime cases.

The Alaska Experiment (Discovery, 10 PM): They're hunting squirrels at the camps. But one of the women decides to go in pursuit of moose. Well, they're easier to hit.

The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen, 10 PM): The girls party to commemorate the pending end of their little adventure, but someone ends up in jail.

Women's Murder Club (ABC, 10 PM): The club believes a murder on a college campus may be revenge for a rape; Lindsay considers getting more serious with Pete.

Work Out (Bravo, 10 PM): Greg and Erika have a photo shoot together; Jackie has meetings regarding a fitness DVD, and learns about issues some clients have with their current trainers.

Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love (Oxygen, 10:30 PM): Pilar tries to inject romance into her marriage; mom and dad try to help Bucky with his girl issues.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E, 10:30 PM): An old friend's visit is unwelcome for Nick; Gene winds up in jail while researching a book on the history of prostitution. Book research? The rule is that if Sen. Larry Craig would laugh off your excuse, you need a new excuse.

My House is Worth What? (HGTV, 11 PM): a couple wants to know if they have enough home equity to finance some landscaping and a new basement.
