The Ultimate Fighter 7: Sometimes Anger Management Classes Aren't Enough

Jeremy May of Spike TV's 'Ultimate Fighter' Season 7
Spike TV

A few weeks ago, I predicted that Jeremy May was gonna be trouble. Well, tonight on The Ultimate Fighter 7, he proved me right. I couldn't believe what a jerk he was! I think if fighting in the house wasn't grounds for getting kicked off the show, there'd have been a beatdown tonight. He aggravated friends, foes, and me, the viewer. Okay, he didn't have any friends to aggravate, but that line sounded pretty good.

Then he had the absolute gall to put lime juice in Matt Brown's chew. Matt Brown is what's known as a bad ass. This guy goes balls to the wall even in training. Forrest had to tell him to take it easy when sparring. And for that knucklehead Jeremy to pick Matt of all people to screw with just boggled the brain. Matt wanted to kill him. Jeremy better thank Dana White's rules for saving his life. Matt wants Jeremy in the ring.

This week, however, Forrest chose Brandon Sene of Team Rampage to take on Dante Rivera of Team Forrest. This was another case of a young kid, Brandon, taking on an experienced fighter. Brandon realized his underdog status and relished it. He felt like he could hold his own. Dante was also very confident in his skills and experience. Dante wanted an immediate take down, and Brandon wanted to avoid that at all cost.

Absolutely awesome fight! These two mixed it up. In the first round, Dante took Brandon down relatively quickly, but Brandon did a good job getting back up. Dante took him down again, but Brandon was very effective on the bottom with his elbows and knees. It was an exciting round. The second round was more of the same. Both fighters left it all out in the octagon.

But that wasn't the end of it. The judges gave them a round a piece. And that means overtime. One more round for the win. Both fighters gave it their all. I gave Dante the victory, but it wasn't by much. The judges gave Dante the win, too. Dana, although he didn't like the fight as much as I did, thought both fighters left it out there. He disagreed with the judges and thought Brandon deserved the win. But as he's told many a fighter, don't leave it to the judges. I thought Brandon was on the defensive too much.

Rampage disagreed with the decision, too. And boy, did he disagree with it. Rampage went on a rampage! To his credit, he took his tantrum outside away from everyone. He was punching things, knocking signs down, etc. He said that he used to take anger management classes, but that decision just made him so angry. I just had to laugh when he said it.

We don't have to wait until next week on The Ultimate Fighter 7 to find out the matchup for the next fight, and it's the fight I wanted to see. Jeremy May of Team Rampage will take on ... get ready for it ... Matt Brown of Team Forrest. That should be a good one. Matt is still as mad as a wet hen, and Jeremy thinks it's funny. He thinks that he's gotten into Matt's head. Will Matt's emotions get the best of him and cost him the match? We'll see. And we'll also get another preliminary match next week. I can't wait!
