I really did try and stay awake for Amy Winehouse's performance on the Grammy Awards last night, but it just didn't happen. I guess that makes me old, which kinda fits in with the Grammys don't you think? I do love me some Tina Turner, but her "duet" performance of "Proud Mary" with Beyonce was just kinda weird. Neither one of their outfits was all that flattering and they just didn't jive. I like Rihanna too, but during her entire performance with The Time I imagined she kept thinking, "Who are these old people?" The Beatles tribute was sad and it just confirms that I never ever want to pay good money to see Cirque du Soleil. There has got to be a better way to honor the Fab Five than whatever that mess was last night. I am happy that Amy Winehouse took home five awards and that Kanye West finally got some hardware. Maybe he'll stop whining so much (at least he had the good sense to take his glasses off during his tribute to his late mother, but those glasses were HOT, where can I get some?). Here are some clip and pics from the big night of music. Rock On! Film.com Photo Gallery: 2008 Grammy Awards 50th Grammy Awards Winner Review 50th Grammy Awards Red Carpet Singing
