John Mayer To Host Variety Show on CBS?

Can John Mayer please go away already?

No one wants to see his smug mug after his "earnest" video-taped confession on why he dumped Jennifer Aniston. No one wants to read his self-important blog or listen to his whiny onstage ramblings. We're over his publicity stunts involving his well-documented haircuts and Borat's lime-green bodysuit.

Apparently, CBS -- and Jennifer Aniston -- don't agree.

Mayer is reportedly in talks with the network to host a new variety show. Just what he needs! Another forum to talk about himself publicly. Puh-lease!

Meantime, NBC is promoting its one-hour variety special, Rosie Live!, starring Rosie O'Donnell. It's scheduled to air the night before Thanksgiving.
