Gossip Girl: The One Where Dan and Serena Finally Do It

On the heels of the announcement that 16-year-old Jamie-Lynn Spears is pregnant, Serena van der Woodsen decides it's time to give it up to Dan. Now there's an inexpensive holiday gift that really says "I care." Perfect for all the men on your list this season.

Meanwhile, Blair's got some drama with her papa, who surprises her by coming home for Christmas ... with his boyfriend, Roman. While her mother's handling it surprisingly well, Blair freaks out and decides to trip Roman on the ice-skating rink and then invite his ex-boyfriend to the Waldorf Christmas Eve party.

We learn the whereabouts of Chuck Bass: he's disappeared to his father's house in Monaco, where he's not returning Blair's phone calls, but manages to send a single email threatening to tell Nate that he and Blair have done the nasty. (Once again, neither Chuck nor Nate makes a single appearance this episode -- what's up with that?)

And over in Brooklyn, Rufus and his wife realize it's just not working between the two of them. Rufus puts a call in to Lily to tell her of his undying love, but she's busy being proposed to by her new boyfriend -- Chuck Bass's dad. Rufus also claims to have walked from Brooklyn to the upper-east side of Manhattan in the snow, without a jacket, to see Lily. As someone who has lived in Brooklyn, let me assure you that this is fundamentally impossible, whether or not you're in love. You'd either die or hail a cab.
