Dancing With The Stars: Six Couples Remain

This week's Dancing With The Stars results show kicked off with the ever popular encore dance. Len could barely contain his excitement as he told Tom Bergeron that the judges wanted to see the group dance again. As if we, the viewing audience, hadn't already figured that out. The dancers were shown in their country garb standing around when the show started. Regardless, it was just as fun to watch the second time around.

Ashlee Simpson's performance of her new single "Boys" was OK, I guess. I don't care for her music much but she did look really pretty on stage. The Riverdance was much more exciting to watch I thought. Those dancers never cease to amaze me. This week's round of the ballroom kids competition was in the "13 and Under" category. Brandon & Brittany, both 13 years old, danced a cha cha cha to "Magic Carpet Ride," and it was really fun to watch. Austin & Liza, both 12, danced a cute samba to "Iko Iko" but it wasn't enough to advance them. The judges picked Brandon & Brittany to advance to the next round by a vote of 2-1.

Mario & Karina and Marlee & Fabian were the two couples this week at the bottom two. I was really hoping that Marlee wouldn't be given another pass to the next round and guess what? She wasn't! It's always refreshing to see people eliminated who should be. Both Marlee and Fabian thanked everybody for their support and ended the show with a slow dance to "Dust In The Wind."

Next week, the dancers will be scored on two separate dances and that's always interesting to watch. I wonder how many of them will have trouble learning and performing two new routines. There's always at least one couple that has trouble getting the job done.
