Celebrity Apprentice: You're Out!

This week's Celebrity Apprentice began with a little trickery. Returning from the board room, Jennie entered the suite sans Omarosa. The others wondered where she was (they knew Gene had been fired) and Jennie told them that Donald had fired both of them. As their shocked faces look back and forth at each other, in strolled Omarosa. You can't get rid of her that easily! Nely appreciated Gene for taking the bullet for her and getting himself fired while Piers was glad Gene was gone because he considered him a major threat.

Before finding out what this week's task was going to be, we saw Tito (who had been in the gym working out) give his $20,000 check to a little eight-year-old girl representing his charity. Her name is Elizabeth and she's suffering from brittle bone disease and the charity she's accepting the donation on behalf of is St. Jude Children's Hospital. After accepting the check, she gave him a picture she painted and they hugged. It was cute!

The next day, the teams assembled at Trump Tower to receive their next assignment. Vince McMahon would be Donald and Ivanka's little helper this week. Teams would have to sell tickets to eight very successful Broadway plays. After negotiating with each other on which four plays they would be hawking tickets for, teams would then have two hours to sell those tickets on the streets of New York City. A portion of the money made on the sale of the tickets would go to Broadway's favorite charity, the Fund For Public Schools, while the rest of the money would go towards the winning Project Manager's charity. Hydra chose Vinnie to be their PM and Empresario chose Marilu as theirs.

Empresario went off to their war room and Marilu asked Omarosa to help her in the negotiating process with the other team. Omarosa agreed and then told Marilu to try to find out which four of the eight shows are currently making the most money. Marilu called one of her friends named Pete to help her with that and eventually Empresario came to the conclusion that they wanted to go for Chicago, Spring Awakening, Hairspray, and Curtains.

Meanwhile, Hydra was trying to figure out what they were going to do. Vinnie began going on and on about wanting a copy of the rules while Stephen and Piers began getting into it concerning who was going to be doing the negotiating. It was all a bit ridiculous and Trace decided he'd just sit back and watch them go at it rather than get involved. Eventually, Piers won out and would be negotiating along with Vinnie against Marilu and Omarosa.

At the negotiation, Vinnie told the ladies to pick the two plays that they absolutely wanted and they chose Spring Awakening and Hairspray. Vinnie decided he didn't like their choices and told them they couldn't have them. When Omarosa and Marilu began whispering about what to do next, Vinnie began getting frustrated because he wanted to move things along. Omarosa later said this whole process was like playing Monopoly with three-year-olds (I agree!). So the girls got to keep the two that they wanted and were able to pick first among the four remaining. Vinnie and Piers did a horrible job at negotiating and the girls were able to leave with three of the four that they'd originally wanted. The only one Empresario didn't get that they wanted was Chicago -- they got Avenue Q instead.

Nely began calling people in her black book to see what she could get for the tickets while over at Hydra, Piers told Stephen to begin hitting the phones and to sell the tickets for the highest possible amounts. Stephen said they shouldn't focus just on amount because they also have to worry about just plain selling the tickets to begin with. Piers then told Stephen if he didn't want to call his high rollers on this task then he's just a shallow little man. So here we go. They start going at it again with Piers walking off and telling Stephen to "eff" himself.

Vinnie, Trace, and Lennox left the suite to go begin setting their tent up while the other guys stick around and keep on making their calls. Piers called Richard Branson who promised to have two stewardesses down there with $10,000 for tickets. Then Stephen and Piers begin to make up like a couple that have been married for forty years and all is right with the world again.

The ladies are now getting their tent settled and making phone calls to their contacts. Marilu did a good job here with getting merchandise from the producers of the Broadway shows and even volunteers to help them out. After one of Nely's contacts from Cushman & Wakefield showed up to buy tickets at $2,500 a pop, David Hyde Pierce showed up to help Marilu out in the celebrity department.

Back over at Hydra, Vinnie had Stephen get the megaphone out to start broadcasting their tickets for sale. Then Vinnie had Piers get into a King Arthur outfit (from Spamalot) and walk around stirring up interest for their team. Then they had Bob Saget stop by, then Ivanka (to check them out), and then a lady from EMI that Trace had called came with $5,000 for two tickets.

At Empresario and with just one hour left, a lady wanted to know how many tickets she could buy with $2,000. Jennie told her that she should tell them how many tickets to buy (hello lady this is for charity!) right before Omarosa interrupted and condescendingly asked Jennie if she needed any help. When Vince McMahon showed up at their tent, he talked to David Hyde Pierce about what he's doing there to help. Obviously not much because Vince then uttered that he hadn't seen him move once from his spot.

With minutes to spare and after much aggravation, the ladies from Virgin showed up and gave Hydra their $10,000. Over at Hydra, Nely was still waiting on her friend with the cashiers checks to come through for them. One minute and forty-four seconds remained for them to accept the money when suddenly we're bolted into the teams walking into the board room.

When Donald asked Marilu if she thought her team finally won, she said very confidently that she thought they had. Vince told the teams that Empresario sold $31,000 worth of tickets while Hydra sold $33,000 worth. The ladies were shocked. Foiled again by Hydra! It seemed Nely's cashiers checks showed up two minutes after time ran out. So close yet so far. Donald told Vinnie that he would get $50,000 for his charity and the rest would go to the Fund For Public Schools. When asked what his charity was, he explained that his daughter's stepfather died a year ago from pancreatic cancer so in memory of him the money would be going to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

After the guys left, Donald asked Marilu who she was going to be bringing back into the board room. Marilu decided to bring back Jennie and Carol (the guys were shocked!). This after Nely even told Donald that she thought Marilu should be fired. But then, Marilu knows she needs Nely to win so that's why she didn't bring her back. With the three back in the board room, Donald told that them it was said that their team lost again. He told Marilu that she should have brought Omarosa back in but Marilu told him that Omarosa, Nely, and herself worked really well together. Donald then told Jennie that it seemed she doesn't have any energy for this. Jennie said that it was hard because of the personalities she's up against and that she's not used to being in such a harsh and nasty environment. Donald told her that she shouldn't get used to it and that she should stay the way she is.

Jennie, you're fired!

He told Jennie that this just wasn't her world and that he likes her world better. Donald then told her that he wants to see her win another Olympic gold and that Vince wants to see it more than he does. Jennie thanks everybody and the ladies left the board room. Vince and Ivanka both think that Donald made the right call and Donald found it interesting that Jennie thought she couldn't compete against these people because he considered her more competitive in her own right than the others.

In the car being driven away, Jennie said that losing was hard to swallow. Her team was so close and she's sad to be leaving her girls and going home. She said she still didn't think she had a chance to show off her leadership skills but thought it was interesting to see the differences between the Apprentice world and the softball field. She looks forward to getting back to playing on the field and training and preparing for the Olympics as well as being a mom and a wife.

Next week, it sounds like things are going to go crazy. We heard Omarosa say, "Everybody says business isn't personal but business is always personal." We then see Piers and Vinnie arguing about disloyalty. Vincent calls himself a rat and said he's on their side (the ladies') now.

What did you think about this week's episode? What was up with that fighting going on between Piers and Stephen? And then Piers is fighting again next week with Vinnie? Does the guy really have that huge of an ego or is he just an inconsiderate ass? What did you think about Marilu choosing Carol and Jennie for the board room instead of Omarosa? Personally, even though I can't really stand Omarosa I love her because I can't stand her!
