Stargate: Atlantis: The Tao of Rodney

McKay is enveloped by an energy blast that gives him increasing strength and power. While he's initially thrilled by the concept of becoming a superhero, it soon becomes clear that the energy beam was supposed to aid in his Ascension, an ancient ritual that people from Atlantis used to become omnipotent energy beings. But without the proper meditation, McKay will just die rather than ascend. So, in order to survive his body's approach to Ascension, McKay must find faith.
