This is so weird. I think I accidentally wandered into an episode of So You Think You Can Dance. I'm sitting in a chilly ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel -- where Fox has thoughtfully provided containers of Skittles, chocolate pretzels and smoked almonds to keep us happy, or sugar-high -- watching dancers perform in outfits that are way too skimpy for a Monday morning. Truthfully, at this hour, it's all a bit much.
Anyway. Breaking news on the SYTYCD front: Top 10 contestant Jessica King, who left the show due to injury, will be replaced by eliminated semi-finalist Comfort Fedoke on Wednesday's episode. Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe refuses to talk about the injury. "I've been instructed not to talk about it." It wouldn't be Fox without a little mystery, a little drama. Ooh, Skittles!
Here's judge Mary Murphy explaining the Hot Tamale Train: "I have been calling hot Latin dancers hot tamales for years. It just flew out of my mouth that one day. ... That represents going to the finals to me. If you get two first class tickets, I'm telling you, I think you're going into the finale."
