Synopsis:
Lois follows Lex to Detroit and discovers he has found Kara, who has amnesia. Finley, a busboy who is obsessed with Kara, fears Lex will take her away, so he shoots Lex and holds Kara and Lois captive. After Lex's comatose body is found, Chloe offers to heal him, but Clark refuses to let her. Instead he volunteers for a potentially lethal process invented by Lionel's scientists to travel into Lex's subconsciousness and find out where his Kara and Lois are being held. What he finds is a deadlier Lex, a piece of what remains of his friendship with Lex in the form of a young boy named Alexander, and a few of Lex's memories that he finds most disturbing and revealing.
