Synopsis:
Clark is trapped in the Phantom Zone and with the help of another captive, manages to break free and return to Earth. Meanwhile, Zod in Lex's body, plots to destroy the Earth as Lana tries to determine if there is any of Lex left within the shell to save. Martha and Lois survive the downed plane which crashed right near the fortress. She makes a deal with Jor El to try and kill Zod. Lionel and Chloe also manage to escape the riots with Lionel leaving Chloe in the relative safety of the planet while he also seeks the knife to kill Zod while Chloe runs into Jimmy Olson. Clark finally gets to Zod and after a near defeat uses a medallion that drives Zod out of Lex's body and essentially life returns to normal in Smallville.
