Secret Circle, Hart of Dixie and Ringer Given Full Seasons
Amanda Mae Meyncke October 12, 2011

All three of the new CW shows have been given the go-ahead to complete full seasons! You know what this means, we’ll definitely be recapping Secret Circle through the end of the first season. The shows have not been performing exceptionally well, especially Ringer which has fairly low numbers, but the network believes in all three shows enough to keep them around through the end of a single season. We’ll see what the future holds for each.
All three shows feature female leads and two feature female showrunners/writers. This is a good season to be a woman, as other recent pickups feature women (cough pretty white women cough) almost exclusively, with Fox’s New Girl, NBC’s Up All Night and Whitney, and CBS’s 2 Broke Girls all being picked up for full seasons.
