Queen Latifah To Spoof VP Debate On Saturday Night Live?

She's been tapped to pay Gwen Ifill in the event of an SNL reenactment this weekend.

We don't know if Tina Fey will be back on Saturday Night Live this weekend as Sarah Palin, but if the show indeed spoofs tonight's vice presidential debate, at least one impersonator appears to be confirmed: Queen Latifah as moderator Gwen Ifill.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Latifah has signed on to play Ifill on this week's SNL if the show goes ahead with a debate sketch. It would seem like a no-brainer until you actually watched the debate, which would be best described as "anti-climactic." In the aftermath, pundits are generally saying that Palin didn't suck. This is upsetting for both Democrats and SNL viewers.

Was it just me, or did it sound like at one point Palin referred to Joe Biden as Senator O'Biden? I was hoping he'd respond by calling her McPalin. Speaking of which, I would've rather been watching Grey's Anatomy. This debate didn't have nearly enough tears, whining or drama. Seriously.
