Sorry, Sam: ABC has cancelled the Christina Applegate sitcom Samantha Who? after two seasons.

It was a surprise move by the network, which was expected to bring back the series after some retooling. Samantha Who? made a big splash when it premiered in the post-Dancing With the Stars slot on Monday nights, but ratings faltered when it moved to Thursdays.

Applegate received an Emmy nomination in 2008 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role as an amnesia victim. There are still seven unaired episodes of the show, but no word on when they will air.
