Synopsis:
Hercule Poirot is out to defend Elinor Carlisle, a woman accused of two murders. One is the poisoning of her Aunt Laura, a rather wealthy woman, and the second is the poisoning of her competitor in romantic pursuits, Mary Gerrard. Poirot's conclusion, which at first seems airtight, comes to an about face in his mind as he pieces together the puzzle of their deaths.
