A comedy series about a blue-collar working mother trying to cope with a tumultuous family, composed of her husband Dan, and their four children: oldest daughter Becky who is married to Mark; middle child Darlene, who is expecting a baby with her husband David; son D.J., who idolizes Dan; and their new baby Jerry. Roseanne's sister, Jackie, has a small child and recent divorce to cope with while Roseanne and Dan are experiencing their own marital problems. The family has always had to struggle financially until this year when Roseanne and Dan win the biggest lottery payoff in state history.
