Roseanne Conner is a blue-collar working mother trying to cope with a tumultuous family, composed of her husband Dan, their three children: Becky, Darlene and D.J. Roseanne and Dan have struggled financially for years and have used humor to cope with the pressures of raising their own kids while providing accommodations for Darlene's fiance David. They now have to prepare for the arrival of their new baby, and deal with Jackie's separation from her husband, Fred. Roseanne and Jackie remain partners in The Lunch Box diner.
