Roseanne Conner is a blue-collar working mother with a brash, irreverent point of view about life. She uses her sense of humor to cope with a tumultuous household composed of her husband Dan and their three children: Becky, Darlene and son D.J. Roseanne often wonders how she's going to pay the bills at the end of the month with her waitressing salary and is concerned that her daughters are growing up too fast, but her sister, Jackie, and faithful friend, Crystal, are always there to lend moral support.
