Synopsis:
Set in Rome, 51 BC, drama focuses on the lives of two ordinary Roman soldiers and their families against the backdrop of radical social changes brought about by Julius Caesar's return home from war. Having gained Caesar's trust, the two citizens are then afforded rare insight into the workings of the ruling class and find their destinies inextricably linked with the likes of Caesar, Cleopatra, Marc Antony, and Octavian.Season 2 follows the death of Caesar and the aftermath.
