Bret Michaels is recovering after breaking his nose during his performance at the Tony Awards Sunday.

The Rock of Love star, 46, was hit by a large piece of scenery descending from the ceiling as he walked offstage after performing Poison's "Nothin' But A Good Time."

The incident resulted in three stitches to his lip and a fractured nose. Still, Michaels kept his sense of humor intact.

"Bret was laughing when he heard [Tonys host] Neil Patrick Harris said he gave new meaning to 'headbanging,'" his rep said.
