In the midst of personal crisis, four sisters try to maintain their close bonds with each other. Ginnie discovers that she is pregnant and wonders how to deliver the news to her family and husband, Bob. Anne, a therapist, is about to split with her longtime boyfriend, while Marjee, the event coordinator, is trying to keep her latest job from going south. Meanwhile, youngest sister Rose is becoming an experimental theater student after ditching pre-med plans. The sisters are also trying to cope with the news that their father, Joe, is planning to marry his girlfriend, Renee.
