The Real Housewives of New York City will return for a second season in the competitive Housewives market on Feb. 17. The premiere will air directly after the Real Housewives of Orange County season finale that night. Apparently, Bravo never heard of having too much of a good thing.

The NYC housewives -- Alex, Bethenny, Jill, Luann and Ramona -- are all back, along with new housewife Kelly Bensimon. We'll see if they can stir up more drama than the Real Housewives of Atlanta, which set the bar pretty high in its debut season last fall.

Here's what the NYC housewives are up to lately:

-Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen are renovating their home in Brooklyn. Wasn't the house already pretty torn up in the first season?

-Bethenny Frankel is single! Apparently, things with the dude she wanted to marry in the first season didn't work out. They don't call her the Runaway Bride for nothing!

-Jill Zarin is preparing daughter Ally for college and is filling the void of an empty nest with charity work.

-LuAnn de Lesseps is writing a book on manners and etiquette, i.e., never introduce a Countess to a driver by her first name. Got that, Bethenny?

-Ramona Singer is still embarassing her 13-year-old daughter on national television.

-Kelly Bensimon is a mother of two and a model, author, editor and designer. She also likes horses.
