Biography of Phineas Taylor (P.T.) Barnum, the entrepreneur, manager and circus showman who merged with Bailey in 1881 to form the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Barnum was also known for the line, "There's a sucker born every minute." He died in 1891 at the age of 81.
