Synopsis:
The crisis of the foster care system is examined. Diane Saywer speaks to some children who have been in and out of numerous foster homes. Then she goes to Louisville, KY where they have a pioneering foster care system that seems to be working better than the regular system. Finally, Sawyer visits a funded institution called Maryhurst that tries to save damaged and vulnerable girls. Part of a three-part series with Nightline and 20/20.
