Synopsis:
Just a few weeks before retirement, Detective Superintendent Jane Tennison takes on her last case, the murder of a pregnant 14-year old schoolgirl, even as her father is on the verge of death. Having spent most of her life on the police force, the job has taken its toll on Tennison's personal life but the prospect of leaving isn't exactly pleasant.
