Rae returns to San Fransisco and her husband from her volunteer work in Pakistan to find the Greek doctor she has a yearly affiar has joined the the medical group to be with her. The other doctors deal with a baby on the brink of death, a coach in need of heart surgery and an old man dying of cancer.
