President Obama is venturing into the chicken coop that is The View this week.

He’ll be the first sitting U.S. president to appear on a daytime talk show, according to ABC.

Why The View? Who knows? But we’re guessing Barbara Walters will have Elisabeth Hasselbeck put in a straitjacket that day.

The President is expected to discuss jobs, the economy, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and family life inside the White House during his appearance, which tapes Wednesday and airs Thursday.

Obama made a campaign stop on The View during his Presidential run. So at least he knows what he’s getting into…
