Two divorced parents, Rick Sammler and Lily Manning, meet and begin dating. Rick has been divorced for several years but hasn't gotten serious about anyone until Lily. Rick's son, Eli, and daughter, Jessie, want the best for their father, but Eli has a learning disability that Rick's ex-wife Karen blames on the divorce, which compounds Rick's guilt. Lily has poured everything into creating the perfect home for her daughters, Zoe and Grace, who are unhappy when their mother's attention turns to Rick. Zoe has always hoped that Lily would be reunited with ex-husband Jake. Not having dated since before their kids were born, Rick and Lily have a chance to start over, to find love once again -- if only their fears and families will let them.
