Odd Girl Out

Popular high-schooler Vanessa, whose social status is dependant on her friendship with Stacy, the most popular girl in school, finds herself on the outs when the boy her friend has eyes for, flirts with her instead. With the help of a girl who wants her place in the social pecking order, all of Vanessa's former friends turn against her as they wage a campaign of disparaging remarks, rumors, pranks and bullying to take her down. Vanessa, blinded by her old loyalties and desire to be popular, is driven to the brink of suicide as her life seems to crumble around her. It takes the help of a new friend, who rejects the castes of high school, and her mother, to make Vanessa realize the truth and find the strength to confront and reject Stacy.
