Comedy series about an all-news radio station (WNYX) in New York City. The office is run by Dave Nelson, an enthusiastic news director from Wisconsin. His responsibilities include coping with eccentric boss Jimmy James, pacifying Catherine and Bill the quirky on-air talent, calming Matthew the nervous street reporter, gaining the respect of his off-beat secretary Beth, supervising Joe the electrician/handy-man, and juggling what was once a romantic relationship with Lisa, an attractive but insecure newswriter.
