Fox has cancelled MADtv after 14 seasons.

The late-night sketch comedy series was the lesser-known -- and slightly edgier -- competitor to Saturday Night Live. Famous MADtv alums include Nicole Sullivan, Frank Caliendo and Josh Meyers, whose older brother Seth is the head writer and Weekend Update anchor at SNL.

Reports indicate the show was cancelled partly due to stagnant ratings during the recent presidential campaign, which saw a huge boost in SNL's ratings. On MADtv, Keegan-Michael Key played Barack Obama, while Korean-American comic Bobby Lee portrayed John McCain.

MADtv's current season will be its last.
