Kate, Jack, Juliet and Sawyer aren't the only game in town (or on island).

Should complicated Kate be with Dr. Jack, the guy who shifts his moods as often as the island skips through time? Or should she be hanging with the always entertaining scamp Sawyer?

And where does enigmatic Juliet fall in all of this? She snuggled right up with Jack before he escaped the time tunnel, then went all white-picket-fence with Sawyer for some domestic bliss.

While we spend far too many hours pondering the Kate-Jack-Juliet-Sawyer equation now that the four occupy the same space again on Lost, let's not forget that the members of the mighty quad aren't the only ones who have hooked up in this bizarro world.

Lost10. Paulo and Nikki: Perhaps the most hated couple in the history of Lost, the pre-crash duo killed Nikki's wealthy lover for his diamonds. In a lover's spat on the island, Nikki paralyzed Paulo with a spider, and she was later swarmed by a mass of paralyzing spiders. The two were buried alive by the survivors, who believed they were dead. Fans cheered.

9. Daniel and Charlotte : Talk about a complicated relationship. Through the time shift, we learn that an adult Daniel had warned a little Charlotte, who lived on the island, to never return. That's because he knew returning would kill her. But she did come back as an adult and fell in love with Daniel, who knew she was doomed. Sort of a Romeo and Juliet meets The Time Machine deal.

Lost8. Sayid and Nadia: Nadia was Sayid's childhood crush. Sayid saved her in Iraq, and she gave him a picture with a message saying they would meet again, if not in this life, then in another. When Sayid escaped from the island, the two were briefly married before she was murdered. Sayid became a killer again, tracking down the men Charles Widmore sent to murder Nadia.

7. Sayid and Shannon: The spoiled little Paris Hilton of Flight 815 underwent a huge change during her brief time on the island, and it looked as if Sayid would find redemption with her. Unfortunately, Ana Lucia accidentally shot Shannon, and Sayid returned to his dark ways.

Lost6. Hurley and Libby : Could there be a sweeter couple? Burly Hurley beast finds his beauty with Libby, but once more death comes knocking and she's gunned down by Michael.

5. John and Helen: What could have been for John if only he had stayed with the woman he loved, and loved him? John was raised in foster homes as a child, eventually finding his dad who conned him out of his kidney and later shoved him through a window, sending John crashing down eight stories. Helen tried to heal John's soul, but he needed something else. It's not easy being the chosen one.

Lost4. Rose and Bernard: Did the devoted couple perish in the flaming arrow attack in this season's opener? Did they seek refuge in the cave, only to die -- and be discovered by Jack and Kate in the first season as two desiccated corpses in a cave and dubbed Adam and Eve? All we know is that this time travel stuff just gets more and more confusing.

3. Charlie and Claire: She's an unwed mom, going to L.A. to give up her child for adoption. He's a drugged out, one-hit-wonder musician destined for nothing. Together, they find a relationship that redeems Charlie - and releases him. We just wish he could have hung out with us, and Claire, a little bit longer. Maybe another time.

Lost2. Sun and Jin: This relationship started out rocky, with a controlling Jin and an adulterous Sun trying to escape her violent husband. But on the island, the two came back together. Jin changed his ways, becoming a better person who put Sun above all else. Now if they can just get back in the same time groove.

1. Penny and Desmond: This is the ultimate love story, with the two searching for each other before coming together in a scene that could bring tears to even the most cynical soul. In Greek mythology, Penelope was the wife of Odysseus, who remained faithful to him while he was lost at sea for years. This Penny is just as devoted to her Des, and now they are reunited. But we know this happiness just can't last. Or can it?
