Lost: Some Like It Hoth

An Asian woman speaks to a landlord about renting an apartment. Her young son, Miles, finds a dead man in one of the other apartments. He cries until his mother and the landlord come running. Young Miles tells them the dead man is talking to him. Back on the Island, Kate and Sawyer call Miles and tell him to erase the tape of them taking Young Ben to the Hostiles. Miles starts to, but is interrupted by Horace who wants him to take a bag out to Radzinsky. Miles drives into the jungle and finds Radzinsky in territory that belongs to the Hostiles. Miles gives him a bag, which he soon realizes is a body bag for a dead body that Radzinsky puts in it and gives to Miles. When he is alone, Miles asks the dead body how he died. Flash to a college-aged Miles visiting his dying mother. His mother tells him that his father walked out on them when he was young. She says his father is dead and somewhere that Miles could never find him. Back on the Island, Horace instructs Miles to take the body to Dr. Chang at the Orchid. Unfortunately, Hurley has already loaded the van with sandwiches for the Orchid workers, so Miles must take Hurley along with him. While on the way, Hurley discovers the dead body in the van. Miles tells him that the man was digging a ditch when suddenly his tooth filling shot through his skull and killed him. Miles says he knows this because he can talk to dead people. Hurley says he can talk to dead people too, but in a different way. When they get to the Orchid, Dr. Chang is upset that Hurley was brought along. Miles tells Hurley that Chang is his father. Flash to an adult Miles swindling a man out of his money by telling him he could talk to his cremated son. Outside the man's house, Naomi approaches Miles. She gets him to come with her to talk to a dead man who was bringing documents to Charles Widmore proving the Oceanic 815 wreckage was faked. Naomi then offers Miles $1.6 million to join her on a special mission. Back on the Island, Hurley tries to get Miles to talk to Chang while they drive together in the van to Radzinsky. Chang mentions his three month-old son is named Miles. When they get to the construction site where Radzinsky is, Hurley sees a worker putting the serial number on a piece of metal that he immediately recognizes as the hatch for the Swan Station. Flash to Miles being abducted off the street by a van. Miles has accepted Naomi's offer but the man inside the van, Bram, tells him that he is making a mistake. He asks if Miles knows what lies in the shadow of the statue. Miles does not know. Bram tells him that Widmore is a bad man and he should be working against him, then drops him off back on the street and drives away. Back on the Island, Roger Linus suspects Kate has something to do with Young Ben's disappearance, even though Juliet and Jack try to convince him otherwise. Later at the house they tell Sawyer that Kate might have caused them a problem by revealing too much to Roger. After Jack leaves, Phil shows up at the house and tells Sawyer that he has the videotape showing Sawyer and Kate as the ones who took Young Ben. Sawyer punches him out and asks Juliet to get some rope. Meanwhile, Miles is moved to tears watching Chang read Baby Miles a story. Chang gets a call and asks Miles for help picking up some scientists who just came in on a submarine from Ann Arbor. When Miles gets to the dock, he finds Daniel Faraday exiting the submarine. Faraday says hi and that it has been a long time.
